Our offices are now open, however we are following all guidelines enforced by the CDC. We want everyone to stay healthy and safe. Feel free to visit and join our events. We encourage everyone to please continue to wash hands frequently and wear mask along with social distancing.

The San Diego International Birthing project was re-born in November 2019. We are a grassroots community based 501c3 organization providing education, support and advocacy for women of color. We understand Black infants in San Diego are 3x more likely to die than white babies, 60% Black babies are more likely to be born premature. For more than thirty years Black women have encountered implicit bias in the healthcare system, stress, and misdiagnosis. It is important for the community to work together as one. Therefore, we solely support the California Dignity Pregnancy and Childbirth Act: SB 464, that was approved October 2019. There is a continuous effort on our behalf to make a difference, one day and one mother at a time.

The San Diego International Birthing Project is a community based volunteer organization that provides support and advocacy to women obtaining prenatal care. We serve mothers, woman of color, babies, and families who need access to adequate healthcare and social support.

our work is very important in the community and is necessary. However, we don’t
